About this course
Assessment supervision is part of a series of TQI accredited workshops delivered by CIT Solutions. This workshop will equip teachers of VET in ACT Secondary Schools with the skills and knowledge to outline and document the evidence required to demonstrate the currency of trainer/assessor skills and identify ASQA’s requirements for training and assessing under supervision.
Aim of the Workshop
The aim of this practical three hour Assessment Supervision Workshop is to equip VET teachers with the knowledge of their roles and responsibilities as teachers and assessors. This includes the way in which they document the evidence required to demonstrate the currency of their trainer/assessor skills and the retention of students’ completed assessment items.
This workshop is designed to give VET Coordinators and RTO Managers the skills required to support VET teacher supervision and teachers completing the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
Workshop Outcomes
- Define the roles and responsibilities of VET Sector trainers and assessors
- Outline and document the evidence required to demonstrate the currency of trainer/assessor skills
- Explain what is “supervision”
- Explain ASQA’s requirements for training and assessing under supervision
- Review samples of documents that could be used for supervision
- Provide an overview of evidence retention requirements for students’ completed assessment items
How to Register
- Registration is through CIT Solutions. Schools are responsible for release of teachers.
- Due to the practical nature of this workshop, places are limited.
- This is a professional development workshop. There is no assessment and completion will not result in units of competency being awarded. At the conclusion of this workshop, you will receive a certificate of attendance. This workshop can be used towards your TQI and vocational currency requirements.
