About this course
CITSOL language proficiency courses for professional purposes are ideal for people who need to develop second language skills to use in both everyday and work-related contexts. For each language, there are three proficiency levels: 1 (Beginner), 2 (Intermediate), and 3 (Advanced). The course is specifically customised for the individual learner taking into consideration the learner’s past language and other learning experiences.
The aim of the course is for students to:
The course covers four language skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. However, emphasis may be given to certain skills to suit the needs of the learner. The course integrates sociolinguistic and sociocultural knowledge to enable the learner to communicate in the target language correctly and appropriately in a given context. The course incorporates a variety of topics and contexts, ranging from everyday casual conversation to formal professional contexts, to support learning for wider purposes.

Course Details:
- Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:30pm-8pm AEST
- 60 hours tuition (virtual) with additional self-study time (30 x 2-hour sessions)

About Indonesian 1.1 course
Previous knowledge required: None. This course is suitable for absolute beginners with no previous knowledge of Indonesian.
Certification: Statement of Attendance is available upon request for learners who have attended at least 80% of the course.
