Bridging Program - TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

Upgrade to the latest industry standard trainer and assessor qualification, TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, with CIT Solutions Bridging Program and answer the growing needs and expectation of industry and stakeholders.

How does the Bridging Program work?

The Bridging Program acts as an upgrade to close the skill gap between you and the TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment qualification. The program has been designed for trainers and assessors who currently hold the TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, and would like to upgrade.

Before beginning the program you will be assessed on your skill gap and an individualised pathway will be developed for you to obtain the upgrade. To successfully upgrade to the new qualification, the following units need to be completed:

  • TAELLN411 Address Adult Language , Literacy and Numeracy Skills
  • Skill gaps in TAEASS401, TAEASS403 and TAEASS502.

Who should take this course

To be eligible for this program you need to currently hold the TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment to upgrade to TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

If you have not completed a Training and Assessment qualification in the past, you can enrol in the full TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment program.

    For learners who demonstrate currency and hold the following units, these will be granted through credit transfer

    • TAEDEL401 Plan, organise and deliver group-based learning
    • TAEDEL402 Plan, organise and facilitate learning in the workplace
    • TAEDES401 Design and develop learning programs-
    • TAEDES402 Use training packages and accredited courses to meet client needs
    • TAEASS402 Assess competence
    • TAEASS502 Design and develop assessment tools
    • BSBCMM401 Make a presentation
    • TAELLN411 Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills

    For learners who do not hold TAELLN411 Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills

    • An online module is available.

    The following units will be completed and directly assessed through the bridging program

    • TAEASS401 Plan assessment activities and processes
    • TAEASS403 Participate in assessment validation
    • TAEASS502 Design and develop assessment tools

    If your training and assessment qualification is more than five years old then you may need to do some additional assessment items.
