About this course
"Boro" Sashiko is a Japanese mending technique that uses the thread as a highlight the mending rather than trying to conceal it. In this course we learn how to use Boro techniques to create a small zippered bag that you can use to store your sashiko tools in. We will also discuss the what, the why and how of Boro Sashiko and learn how to do the stitching and the special casting on/off technique that it uses.
