Program Information
Program Delivery
Your program is delivered using a combination of facilitated sessions and self-paced online learning. Your welcome pack includes a calendar and specific information relevant to your program.
Facilitated sessions are held at the CIT Bruce campus (providing is it safe to do so and COVID-19 restrictions are followed). We will notify you if this arrangement changes.
Self-paced online learning is delivered through the CIT Solutions Learning platform, Engage.
We suggest that you dedicate between 3-5 hours per week to complete out of class learning and to keep up to date with any assessment requirements. In addition to attending face to face, and/or virtual sessions, you need to allow time to prepare for and complete a number of assessment activities. This includes completing online knowledge packets which contain important information.
If you have any special requirements that we should be aware of, please contact the Learner Experience Team.
Learning Materials
We have transitioned to online resources for all our programs in order to reduce our environmental footprint. All learner resources and program content is located on our online learning platform, Engage. If you have any concerns regarding the use of fully online materials, please contact the Learner Experience Team.
Invoicing
You can expect to receive your invoice one week prior to your commencement date. The due date and payment methods can be found on your tax invoice once you receive it to your nominated email address.
Important next steps
Engage Access
Engage is our online learning platform where you access materials, handouts and submit assessment activities. You will receive an email with your login details for Engage on your program commencement date. Be sure to check your junk inbox as the email is sent from a no-reply address.
We highly recommended that you use Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox to access Engage to ensure that all features of the platform work correctly and you are able to access your learning and submit assessment activities.
If you do not receive your login details for Engage by the close of business of your commencement date, or have trouble accessing the platform, please contact the Learner Experience Team.
Locating your classroom
Please make your way to the ground floor J Block foyer, where you will be able to locate your classroom via the TV directory. You can download a copy of the CIT Bruce campus map here (PDF 259Kb).
Wi-Fi
Our classrooms are equipped with both secured and unsecured Wi-Fi networks. The secured Wi-Fi network requires your CIT number in order to access the network. We recommend that you note down your CIT number prior to class so you are prepared for your first session. You can find your CIT number on your Engage profile, or ask your facilitator.
The secondary "unsecured" Wi-Fi network can also be accessed which is identified as "CIT Public". This Wi-Fi does not require any user name or password, but again a reminder that this is an unsecured Wi-Fi network. A guide on how to access the Wi-Fi service can be found here (PDF 279Kb).
If you plan on using a work computer we encourage you to speak with your IT department to ensure you can access CIT's network. If you require our network information in order to allow access through your firewall, please contact the Learner Experience Team.
