CIT Solutions first ACT based training provider approved to offer latest Certificate IV Training and Assessment

“Currently there are only about fifteen RTO’s in the entire country who have been granted approval by the national regulator to deliver the new Training and Assessment qualification. We are extremely pleased to be amongst that group of providers.” General Manager of CIT Solutions, Paul Ryan said.

The announcement comes after the Australian Industry and Skills Committee made important updates to the Training and Education Training Package that include an update to the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. As a result, TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment has now superseded TAE40110 Certificate IV.

The new Certificate IV responds specifically to quality concerns identified by industry stakeholders and ASQA and reflects increased practitioner requirements ensuring positive steps towards a higher quality VET sector.

The most notable changes to the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment are the inclusion of two additional core units; TAELLN411 Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Skills and TAEASS502 Design and Develop Assessment Tools.

These units will ensure VET practitioners have a greater understanding of the foundation skills, to better address the needs of learners and enhance assessment practices.

“Being approved to deliver this high quality qualification enables us to assure our learners and clients they will gain an edge in their training and assessment careers. We can also assure learners they are investing in a well-respected and trusted training provider who is recognised by the national regulator,” said Mr Ryan.

Current holders of the TAE40110 Certificate IV are now able to upgrade to the new qualification via a Bridging Program. The Bridging Program provides current holders of the TAE40110 Certificate IV the ability to upgrade to the TAE40116 version, ensuring their skills are kept up to date. Enrolment for the full TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment July and August intake has commenced and CIT Solutions are pleased to announce that this qualification can be obtained through User Choice funding.
