As a premium training provider in the ACT, we deliver a wide range of foreign language and culture training to our high-value clients based in Canberra and other major cities in Australia as well as international VET training projects.

Centre for Modern Languages (CML)

CIT Solutions’ Centre for Modern Languages (CML) is a premier provider of language training services. We have a network of over 200 certified language trainers in 27+ languages and deliver training to our high-value clients based in the ACT, across Australia and overseas.

Position Details

CML’s Language teachers provide a range of training services includes, but not limited to the following:

  • Training design and development of curriculum
  • Training delivery to groups of students and/or tutoring individual students, and;
  • Assessment services including marking exams.

Training may be one-on-one or in small groups and is delivered face-to-face or virtually using an approved video conferencing system. With an increase in demand for our language training services, we are seeking talented teachers to join our Casual Teacher Pool. We are especially interested in Teachers in the following languages:

  • French
  • German
  • Indonesian
  • Italian
  • Japanese
  • Korean
  • Malay
  • Mandarin
  • Portuguese (Brazilian and Continental)
  • Spanish
  • Solomon Island Pijin
  • Tagalog
  • Thai
  • Tok Pisin
  • Tetum
  • Turkish
  • Vietnamese

Ideal Candidates:

  • Native or near-native fluency in the target language
  • Cultural competence and understanding of the target language’s cultural context.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Cert IV in Training & Assessment or a university degree in education, linguistics, international relations, or other relevant fields is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Prior experience in designing, delivering, and assessing language courses would be advantages.
